This feels like wrapping myself up in a cozy sweater that still smells a little sheep-y. I haven't had the opportunity to work with raw wool yet, but it's something I'm planning to start this year. Reading your words about why you love it so much, seeing your enthusiasm for it on your channel has only made me more excited to bury my fingers into some fleece.

You expressed how I feel every time I wash and rinse and comb and spin. It’s mind blowing that people did this for one sweater or socks. Even more to weave and sew clothing ! In this world of fast; throw out fashion items it saddens me that this will be lost. But for all of us we know the magic ♥️

It is a good thing you are writing. Otherwise all these beautiful descriptions and insights and connections would stay stuck in your brain and build up and build up until your head exploded. Better to let them out to live on the page, regularly.

I so relate to this whole fiber relationship being a way to connect to our deep and even deeper past in a tactile, fundamental way. You are living in and with the fundamental elements and processes that made life possible for our oldest ancestors. In the muck and lanolin and dirt-filled water of raw wool, you are rooting yourself in women's ancient knowledge and magic: the transformation of handfuls of sheep fleece into what kept our ancestors alive - textiles. Their DNA is expressed in your woolly incantations over steaming caldrons of water, even if the caldron is a plastic bucket in your bathtub. Their past is your present. You keep the knowledge and the magic alive. Wool witchery lives on!

Tazhi!!! You are a word master. I adore how you magically put into words the feeling of grounding that comes prom processing raw wool. What you put out there into your spaces inspires and brings joy. So excited you started giving more of your beautiful self to us to enjoy 💕

Your writing is truly a gift. I'm delighted that you decided to start this blog. I've never spun and I've certainly never worked with raw wool, but your excitement for it is palpable and inspiring. Thank you for sharing.
